Paul, Producer and Director
Jason Michael Paul has staged concerts worldwide for such artists as Luciano Pavarotti, and The Three Tenors. An innovative and creative force in the music industry, Jason continues to bring critical acclaim to the Video Game Music genre. He created the first ever US video game music concert and the first ever video game music concert series with "Dear Friends- Music from FINAL FANTASY." These ground-breaking efforts now continue in PLAY! A Video Game Symphony. Jason's
entertainment career began in a San Francisco, CA. marketing agency. His
projects included the first ever press event for Square Enix in the USA
at the E3 2004 convention in Los Angeles, CA. Jason was instrumental in
developing the first totally interactive store for PlayStation at San
Francisco's Metreon Centre, and worked on SCEA's annual E3 trade show
booth and SCEA's annual E3 press event. Jason also contributed heavily
to the coveted SCEA E3 party. The party consisted of huge festival environments
that featured artists such as Everclear, Foo Fighters, Outkast, Ozomatli,
George Clinton and the P Funk All-Stars, plus a host of other well known
acts. Jason also produced Square Enix's premier video game "Kingdom
Hearts" launch party in Los Angeles, CA. Early on, Jason handled
corporate entertainment and environmental design for clients such as Sony
Computer Entertainment America, Sun Microsystems, Adidas, Midway Entertainment,
Sony Metreon, and Square Enix. In 2000, Jason helped to produce "Sunrise," the Sun Microsystems annual week-long sales incentive meeting held in Honolulu, Hawaii, where 10,000 Sun Microsystems employees enjoyed great entertainers such as Elton John, Michael MacDonald, Patti Austin, and James Ingram. A star studded lineup was accompanied by a world-class big band styled out in a Copacabana theme, and led by Grammy award winning conductor and music director Thomas Bahler. Jason currently specializes in highly technical events that combine sonic visual elements with the most sophisticated projection, audio and lighting techniques. He has created a model for success with video game music by showcasing the orchestra's musical talent and the undeniable beauty of the displayed video elements. Jason's ultimate goal to add credibility to the music of video games. As a result of his pioneering efforts, some of the most distinguished orchestras in the world have now performed video game music in sold-out concert halls. Jason's innovation has catapulted him to the forefront of the genre as the concept's originator. In multiple roles as director, producer, and promoter, Jason recently produced the "Dear Friends- Music from FINAL FINTASY" concert series. "More Friends- Music from FINAL FANTASY" concert debuted at E3 2005, and was performed by The World Festival Symphony Orchestra, the CSUF University Singers, and conducted by Grammy award winner Arnie Roth. Other special features of the show included vocalists Emiko Shiratori and RIKKI from Japan, as well as an Opera piece "Maria and Draco," performed for the first time ever by two tenors and a soprano. The highlight of the show was when Nobuo Uematsu's own rock band "The Black Mages" performed with full orchestra and choir for a special rendition of "One Winged Angel" --- perhaps the most famous song from the acclaimed video game "FINAL FANTASY." The concert's fusion of a classical orchestral presentation and a rock band is but one example of Jason's innovative production capacities. Jason's talents also extend into the areas of film and video production. He has worked on a variety of non-broadcast and broadcast commercial spots for numerous clients. Jason most recently produced the independent short film, "Life Lines." Directed by Drea Cooper, this project exemplifies Jason's dedication to quality and innovation. Jason's well-rounded background in both the entertainment industry and branded corporate environments qualifies him to execute events in all entertainment media. His extensive palate of music appreciation enables him to work fluently in the genres of Classical, Jazz, Opera, Rock, Electronica, and Hip hop. Indeed, Jason is a versatile live event promoter, producer and director who has staged events in many different musical styles and venues all over the world. He has produced shows in stadiums, arenas, amphitheatres, and orchestra halls, while touring extensively throughout the United States, Canada and abroad. A true visionary, Jason has received praise and recognition from major magazines and periodicals world-wide, and several industry awards. He is well known for his work with legendary artists of our time. Jason's clients value his ability to seamlessly deliver unprecedented quality from a project's conceptualization to completion, while maintaining the integrity of the artist and the brand. Jason
